Unlike raw material warehouse where items are consumed and most will not return from production, a warehouse may house and store parts and tools for production. These objects will return to warehouse after they have been used for production. The best example to illustrate this is a warehouse of injection moulds.Production injection moulding machines requires moulds to produce the shapes as required. The moulds are used for the work order period and then are sent back to warehouse.
The injection moulds are heavy objects. Once they are placed in warehouse, one can imagine that it will not be moved unless really required. They are often stacked up to save space and most of them looks similar.
